Today was Anna’s first day at her new daycare.  She was so busy playing at Zarela’s that she didn’t eat much of her lunch and didn’t take a nap until 12:45 pm.  As a result it’s been a one nap day and I am already having to quash large amounts of personal paranoia.  It’s too early to tell how it goings to work out but that doesn’t stop the delusions.  She made up for lunch at dinner by having fourths of cereal and applesauce along with a bunch of peas and some cheese.  She’s still not impressed by potatoes or apricots, but it’s fun to play with plastic containers.

I’ve developed a cult-like superstition about Anna and sleep.  I take pictures of her sleeping because it seems so miraculous.  Not only do I find her very cute when she’s asleep, but it seems so hard to get her to sleep regularly, that when she is asleep I am overcome by the fact that going to sleep happened.  This picture is from her first nap yesterday, a two nap day.

The noticeable change today is that Anna is better at using the sippy cup.  She’s still not a solo sipper, but we no longer dribble nearly as much water down the front.    It could be parental training, but I just don’t think I learn coordinated tasks that quickly.  For a final note, you should check out Anna’s two front teeth.  Getting a picture with the teeth at all visible involves a variety of acrobatics to keep Anna from grabbing the camera and to catch her with her mouth open.  So you must look carefully to find out that her two top front teeth are impressively wide.

Whoops.  There goes the camera!
