Annalog

Some firsts are not so fun.  Anna was fussy this morning, really fussy. She didn’t eat much breakfast either.  So Paul called the pediatrician’s office on the way to daycare to see if we could get an appointment for today.  This afternoon we went to the pediatrician wondering if we were just delusional (going to the pediatrician and saying “My daughter is extremely fussy,” doesn’t sound like a symptom of anything except lack of parental patience).  Nope.  She has an ear infection in her left ear, poor thing.  She also weighs 29 lbs 14 oz with her shoes on according to their scale. 

The ear infection means we’ve got to inflict 6.5 cc’s of antibiotics in liquid form on Anna twice a day for the next 10 days.  She does not like this medicine. Not one bit.  No fun to be had.  She still has a bad cough leftover from the cold she had last week.  The doctor’s only comment related to the cough was that sometimes toddlers develop ear infections from colds.
